Khartoum: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa has pledged his patronage and support for the comprehensive social da'wah forum and the Ramadan (1447 AH) outreach convoy programme organized by the University of the Holy Quran and Islamic Sciences.
According to Sudan News Agency, this declaration was made during a meeting at the ministry's headquarters in the Minerals Towers on Tuesday. The meeting was attended by the Higher Committee for the Ramadan Programme and the Social Da'wah Forum, led by Deputy University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Salah-Eddin Al-Hadi Hussein. Several scholars and professors from the university, including Professor Abdullah Abdel Hai Abu Bakr, Professor Osman Al-Amin Al-Gailani, Dr. Abdel Mahmoud Yousuf, Dr. Othman Ibrahim Noreen, Professor Khalafallah Al-Imam, and Professor Abdel Moneim Salih Ramadan, were also present.
Dr. Salah-Eddin Al-Hadi, Deputy University Vice-Chancellor and Committee Chairman, provided an overview of the ongoing preparations for the Ramadan da'wah convoys. These are set to be executed in coordination with the Federal Zakat Chamber and Khartoum State authorities. He also detailed the comprehensive Social Da'wah Forum, which is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, and will feature broad participation from imams, preachers, scholars, and various community sectors across Khartoum State.
Minister Professor Ahmed Modawi Musa lauded the university's religious and community outreach activities, emphasizing the effective delivery of its programmes targeting diverse societal segments across Sudan. He also noted the university's success in integrating scientific research with social and da'wah realities.
The comprehensive Social Da'wah Forum aims to reinforce the university's role in community service and engagement with public issues amid current national circumstances. Its objectives include supporting the state in addressing external aggression, raising community awareness of hostile schemes against Sudan, clarifying the duties of imams, preachers, and scholars during and after conflict, offering solutions to the psychological and social effects on war-affected populations, maintaining social cohesion, and issuing recommendations to guide future da'wah efforts.
