East darfur: The Governor of East Darfur, Maulana Mohamed Adam Abdel Rahman, has announced the dissolution of the Native Administration across the region. This decision, formalized in State Decree No. (2) of 2025, affects all levels of the Native Administration, including Nazirs, Sharati, Umda, and Sheikhs within the state’s commissioners.
According to Sudan News Agency, the governor has instructed relevant authorities to implement the decree immediately. The directive was finalized under the governor’s signature and the seal of the East Darfur State government on Monday, the third of Jumada al-Akhirah 1447 AH, corresponding to November 24, 2025 AD.
