Port Sudan: The war in Sudan has intensified with new allegations from the government, which accuses the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chad of direct aggression. Khaled Al-Aiser, Sudan’s Minister of Culture and Information and government spokesman, announced the involvement of strategic weapons, including drones launched from Chad, indicating a dangerous shift in the ongoing conflict.
According to Sudan News Agency, Al-Aiser, during a special briefing by the Ministry of Defense in Portsudan, reiterated the government’s accusation against the UAE, claiming to have conclusive evidence of its involvement. He emphasized that the UAE is not only providing weapons and funding but is also orchestrating an international and regional political strategy to obscure its role in the war.
Al-Aiser highlighted the unprecedented use of guided missiles and strategic drones by the militia, a development he claims has never occurred before in Sudan’s history. He argued that the presence of such advanced weaponry in the hands
of militia groups points to the involvement of major countries, suggesting that the manufacturers of these weapons typically prevent their dissemination to unauthorized parties.
On behalf of the government, Al-Aiser declared the actions of the UAE and Chad as clear acts of aggression against Sudan, holding them accountable for these violations. He accused the UAE of supplying the militia with weapons and funding, while Chad serves as a base for these aggressive actions.
Al-Aiser assured the Sudanese population that the armed forces are fully capable of responding appropriately to this aggression, aiming to reassure citizens amid the escalating conflict.
