Khartoum: Head of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim, offered prayers for the souls of all the martyrs of Sudan, especially the martyrs of El-Fashir, who were, he said, slaughtered in cold blood by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim made these remarks at a women’s rally in support of women in Darfur. He condemned the crimes committed by the RSF militia, describing them as atrocities that will be remembered throughout history for their brutality. He highlighted that the conduct of the RSF and its support from several countries is indicative of a malicious project by the West, facilitated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and executed by the RSF against Sudan and its people. He criticized the global community for its indifferent response to these crimes.
Dr. Ibrahim asserted, “By the will of Allah, we are victorious, and we will not surrender Sudan to anyone. No one will dictate to us the system of governance in our country. We are free to determine the form of rule.” He emphasized that the Sudanese people will reclaim every inch of their land desecrated by the rebel militia and its supporters, and they remain committed to their struggle, as they still hold the initiative.
He noted that the ongoing conflict has united the Sudanese people, fostering a collective resolve to defeat the rebel militia and cleanse the country of traitors and collaborators. Dr. Ibrahim further accused the militia of engaging in the deliberate killing of civilians, declaring, “We will not and shall not negotiate with it, nor coexist with it,” labeling the group as murderous and violative of international norms.
Dr. Ibrahim underscored that the current political and security climate in Sudan cannot accommodate such a militia, declaring, “It is more honorable for us to die than to coexist with those who commit crimes of killing against women, men, children, and the sick.” He described the violations committed against the citizens of El-Fashir and other areas as unprecedented in history.
