Changsha: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin Al-Fadil, led Sudan’s delegation to the ministerial meeting aimed at following up on the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). The meeting took place in Changsha, China, from June 10-12, 2025, with participation from over 43 African countries. This event coincided with the China-Africa Trade and Economic Expo.
According to Sudan News Agency, during his address, Ambassador Al-Fadil emphasized Sudan’s dedication to bolstering China-Africa relations. He acknowledged China’s ongoing efforts in enhancing these ties. He further elaborated on the current developments and challenges facing Sudan due to the ongoing conflict, urging for international support in reconstruction endeavors, particularly involving China and other African nations.
Additionally, on the sidelines of the forum, Ambassador Al-Fadil held discussions with delegation leaders from China, Senegal, C´te d’Ivoire, Somalia, Egypt, and Algeria. These meetings focused on the situation in Sudan and explored avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation with these countries.
