Khartoum: With hearts content with Allah’s will and destiny, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mourns the passing of a devoted son of the Sudanese nation who served it in various fields and made a significant contribution to national security, diplomacy, and strategic studies. Ambassador Maj. Gen. Osman El-Sayid Fadl El-Seed, one of Sudan’s most prominent ambassadors to Ethiopia and the former director of the External Intelligence Service in the 1980s, passed away on Sunday in Omdurman.
According to Sudan News Agency, the deceased was a distinguished expert on the Horn of Africa, African diplomacy, and multilateral diplomacy. He was characterized by his diligence, dedication, and commitment to passing on his rich experience to future generations, in addition to his good manners and extensive social connections.
May Allah have mercy on him and grant him the highest place in Paradise. May He inspire his family, relatives, clan, friends, and those who knew him with patience and solace.
We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
