Khartoum: The Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ali Youssef, received a significant phone call from his Colombian counterpart, Mr. Luis Gilberto Murillo. The conversation centered on the bilateral relations between Sudan and Colombia, with a particular focus on the recent involvement of Colombian citizens in the conflict alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, Mr. Murillo expressed Colombia’s apology for the participation of some of its citizens in the conflict, aligning with the RSF militia against Sudan. He condemned this involvement and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two nations to facilitate the return of these individuals to Colombia. The Colombian minister underscored the need for cooperative efforts to prevent such incidents in the future.
