Foreign Minister Engages with AASTMT President on Training Initiatives.

Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef Ahmed Al-Sharif received in his office on Sunday the President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Professor Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar Ismail, along with his accompanying delegation. The discussions centered on enhancing the relationship between Sudan and the Academy, focusing on the Academy’s role in training and qualifying national cadres from various ministries. This training could take place at the AASTMT headquarters in Alexandria or its branch in Portsudan.

According to Sudan News Agency, AASTMT President briefed the Foreign Minister on the Academy’s objectives and the range of programs it offers. These programs emphasize technology, youth engagement, programming, artificial intelligence, and the design of specialized courses tailored to the training and capacity-building needs that Sudan desires.

The Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the Academy’s contributions, recognizing it as a vital component
of joint Arab initiatives. He acknowledged the significant educational and capacity-building services the Academy provides to Sudan. Furthermore, he pledged to address any challenges the Academy faces and to offer support during Arab League meetings, highlighting the commitment to overcoming obstacles and fostering collaboration.
