Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ali Youssef Ahmed Al-Sharif has accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of being legally and criminally responsible for its involvement in the ongoing aggression against Sudan. Dr. Al-Sharif made these remarks during a press briefing held by the Ministry of Defense, focusing on the escalation and direct aggression by countries supporting the rebel militia.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Al-Sharif emphasized that the UAE is a direct partner in the crimes and violations committed against the Sudanese people. He further accused the State of Chad of facilitating the transfer of weapons and providing safe passages for invading Sudan, actions he claimed are in violation of international humanitarian law.
The Foreign Minister revealed that current investigations have shown that drones used in the conflict were assembled in the UAE and are being operated from Chadian territory near the Sudanese border. He also stated that there are reports indicating that the UAE is rec
ruiting mercenaries both from within and outside the region to carry out attacks aimed at exterminating the Sudanese population.
