First Economic Conference Begins in Portsudan to Tackle War-Induced Challenges.

Port-Sudan: The activities of the two-day First Economic Conference to Confront the Challenges of War commenced on Tuesday morning in Portsudan. Organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, the conference operates under the slogan “Together to Achieve Sustainable Economic Recovery.”

According to Sudan News Agency, the inaugural session is being held under the patronage of President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan. The event sees participation from ministers, regional governors, state walis, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and representatives from international and regional organizations accredited to Sudan.

The conference aims to address the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict with the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. Various specialized working papers and international economic experiences will be reviewed to formulate plans for achieving sustainable economic stability in the war-torn nation.
