North kordofan: Federal Health Minister Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim on Saturday unveiled a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing health services in North Kordofan. In a meeting attended by state health sector representatives, partner organizations, and the Wali (governor) of North Kordofan, Abdelkhalig Abdel-Latif, the minister commended the state’s efforts and pledged unwavering federal support to improve healthcare infrastructure.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Ibrahim emphasized the importance of coordinated planning between federal and state authorities to effectively address the region’s healthcare needs. During the meeting, a detailed report outlining the current healthcare situation and future priorities was presented. Participants highlighted the necessity for stronger preventive measures and innovative solutions to tackle ongoing health challenges.
Dr. Ibrahim announced plans to establish joint arrangements with relevant bodies to develop practical proposals, ensuring a collaborative approach to healthcare improvements. The Wali, Abdel-Latif, underscored the significance of the minister’s visit in addressing challenges faced by hospitals, expressing his commitment to working alongside the ministry to overcome obstacles.
State Health Ministry Director-General Dr. Iman Malik reiterated the ministry’s dedication to enhancing service quality. She noted that the visit would facilitate staff training and ensure the provision of essential equipment, thereby strengthening the region’s healthcare system.
