Kinshasa: On the sidelines of the Ninth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Great Lakes Region, held in the Congolese capital Kinshasa, Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jabir, engaged in discussions with several African leaders.
According to Sudan News Agency, Lieutenant General Jabir had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Angola, Joo Manuel, to discuss the future of bilateral relations between Sudan and Angola. They explored ways to develop and strengthen these relations to serve the shared interests of the two nations.
Lieutenant General Jabir expressed the Sudanese government’s appreciation for Angola’s supportive positions toward Sudan in regional and international forums. He acknowledged Angola’s ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
In a related meeting, TSC Member Jabir briefed the President of the Republic of Burundi, ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬°variste Ndayishimiye, on the latest developments in Sudan. He discussed Sudan’s efforts to overcome rebellion and address the consequences of the terrorist militia’s attacks on infrastructure, as well as the looting and plundering affecting civilians.
Lieutenant General Jabir also met with the Vice President of Tanzania, Philip Isdor Mpango. Their discussions focused on areas of joint cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
