Civil Aviation Authority Refutes Reopening of Khartoum Airport for Cargo Flights

Khartoum: The Civil Aviation Authority has clarified that recent reports regarding the resumption of cargo flights at Khartoum International Airport are false. These reports have been circulating on various news websites and social media platforms, suggesting that cargo flights would resume operations at the airport within a week.

According to Sudan News Agency, the Authority firmly denied the accuracy of these claims, emphasizing that no official statement has been released concerning the reopening of the airport for receiving any type of aircraft. Additionally, no timeline has been established for the resumption of operations at Khartoum International Airport.

The Authority further explained that reopening the airport remains a top priority. However, this will only occur once all international standards and operational requirements are met. Efforts are underway to achieve these standards as quickly as possible, in collaboration with all relevant authorities.

In a related statement, the Civil Aviation Authority extended congratulations to the citizens on the liberation of the entire state of Khartoum. The Authority expressed hopes for the complete liberation of the country from rebel forces, offering prayers for victory to the nation’s armed forces, honoring the fallen martyrs, and expressing pride in Sudan.
