Blue Nile Governor Receives UN Representative

Khartoum: Blue Nile Region Governor Lt. Gen. Ahmed Al-Omda Badi received UN Resident Coordinator Denise Brown, who was accompanied by OCHA Regional Director Marco Vini and a local OCHA representative. The delegation's visit was focused on assessing the humanitarian conditions in the region, with particular attention to the displacement camps.

According to Sudan News Agency, the officials confirmed that the delegation reviewed the humanitarian needs in the area and extended their appreciation to UN agencies and partners for their efforts in supporting displaced populations and returnees. The visit highlighted the importance of such collaborations in addressing pressing humanitarian challenges.

The Governor emphasized the need for continued coordination between the government and humanitarian actors to ensure the efficient delivery of essential services to those in need.
