Cairo: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel-Fattah al-Burhan, concluded his one-day visit to Egypt, with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi bidding him farewell at Cairo International Airport.
According to Sudan News Agency, the two leaders held a joint discussion session focusing on the progress of bilateral relations and exploring ways to support and enhance prospects for cooperation in various fields. The discussions included Egypt’s potential involvement in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Sudan following the war, as well as the continuation of joint projects in vital sectors such as electricity interconnection, railways, trade, and cooperation in health, agriculture, industry, and mining.
The talks further emphasized the importance of joint coordination to ensure water security for both countries, rejecting unilateral measures in the Blue Nile Basin, and adhering to international law to achieve mutual benefits for the nations within the Nile Basin.
