Al-Aiser and Mohamed Nour Urge Unified Media Effort Against RSF Militia

Port Sudan: Minister of Culture and Information and official government spokesman Khalid Al-Aiser emphasized the importance of media professionals coming together to counter the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He highlighted the significant media project initiated by the RSF within the framework of the war against the Sudanese nation, revealing that substantial financial resources had been allocated to this endeavor. Al-Aiser pointed out that the project ultimately failed due to the dedicated efforts of patriotic media professionals.

According to Sudan News Agency, during a workshop on the role of media in the war of dignity, organized by the Sudanese Journalists Association at the Intelligence Service hall in Portsudan, Al-Aiser shared that the ministry is actively working to restore the media’s role to its rightful status. He revealed plans for a workshop next February aimed at establishing a collaborative approach with media professionals, urging the unification of all media components and incubators.

The minister underscored the government’s commitment to addressing the issues faced by media professionals, asserting that these concerns are consistently presented to the relevant authorities to develop practical solutions. He acknowledged the significant contribution of the media in the war of dignity.

Lt. Gen. Mustafa Mohamed Nour, acting governor of the Red Sea State, emphasized the necessity of documenting the RSF militia’s blatant violations against citizens, describing these actions as unprecedented. He called on media professionals to document these atrocities, stressing the need for a unified and truthful media approach to reflect the reality of the situation.

The governor advocated for a clear collective plan, urging all media professionals to work in harmony and emphasize the need for authentic and non-misleading media coverage.
