Khartoum: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Youssef, received the Indian Charg© d’Affaires in Sudan, Mr. Garga Shankar Joshi, in his office on Monday. The Minister expressed appreciation for the strong relationship between Sudan and India and acknowledged the ongoing support from the Indian government to Sudan, particularly in aiding Sudanese students studying in India and patients receiving medical treatment there.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on developing a new vision to strengthen trade and economic ties between the two nations. Discussions included providing facilities for businessmen, companies, and investors to advance these relations. Additionally, the meeting reviewed existing bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance them further.
Present at the meeting was Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Ali Al-Tom, the newly appointed Sudanese Ambassador to India. India has officially recognized his nomination as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Sudan to India.
