Port Sudan: Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Commander Malik Aggar was briefed on the arrangements and preparations being made by the Ministry of Education to start the Sudanese Certificate Examinations (the postponed batch for the year 2023) scheduled to be held on December 28.
According to Sudan News Agency, during his meeting in his office in Portsudan on Wednesday with Acting Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar, Aggar directed the need to improve performance and secure the arrival of exams and students to examination centers inside and outside Sudan. This is to ensure that the exams are held in the required manner.
Aggar expressed appreciation for the great role played by Sudanese families, highlighting their seriousness, determination, and keenness to continue the education process under the current circumstances. He stressed the government’s commitment to overcoming all technical and administrative impediments to achieve the desired goals and ensure the success of
the plan set for the conduct of exams.
Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Omar informed the TSC Vice President about the ministry’s preparations to resume the Sudanese Certificate exams. He detailed the efforts made in this regard and reported that there are 46 centers in 15 countries, both within safe states and abroad.
The Minister also stated that the percentage of students sitting for exams this year exceeded 75.5%. He indicated that the Supreme Committee for Examinations held a meeting to discuss arrangements for holding exams for the year 2024 in March 2025. Additionally, they addressed the issue of students who were unable to sit for exams this year.
