Agar Affirms Commitment to Civil Service Development Plans

Port Sudan: Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander Malik Agar, has pledged his support for the recommendations put forth by the Civil Service Conference, aimed at crafting targeted plans and programs to enhance the future of the nation’s civil service sector.

According to Sudan News Agency, during the closing session of the Civil Service Conference, which took place from Tuesday to Wednesday at the Red Sea State Government Secretariat’s Peace Hall, Agar directed the Council of Ministers to establish a committee. This committee is tasked with evaluating the current conditions of the civil service and updating it in line with existing laws and regulations.

Agar highlighted the significance of the conference as a foundation for the state’s renaissance and development through strategic planning. He noted Sudan’s historical excellence in civil service, despite current challenges, and called for correcting past mistakes to advance the sector. He stressed the need to operate within the framework of laws, regulations, and legislation.

Furthermore, Agar emphasized achieving job satisfaction through fair salaries, aligning with anti-corruption efforts. He underscored the importance of modernizing the civil service by fostering a supportive work environment, embracing technological advancements, and updating relevant legislation.

His Excellency also addressed the need to tackle post-war challenges to ensure progress, urging the youth to engage in productive projects. He pointed out that a significant factor contributing to unemployment is the preference for public sector jobs.
