Al-qadarif: Al-Qadarif University received yesterday evening a financial check for more than 52 billion pounds from the Zakat Bureau in the state, designated for tuition fees for eligible male and female students. The university director, Professor Ibtisam Al-Tayeb Al-Jak, accepted the check from the Secretary of the Zakat Bureau in the state, Professor Bashir Muhammad Omar. The event was also attended by the Director of Bank Planning at the Zakat Bureau, Dr. Kamal Muhammad Mahmoud, and the Director of Banks in the state, Professor Maher Al-Amin Mukhtar.
According to Sudan News Agency, Professor Ibtisam Al-Tayeb Al-Jak highlighted the smart partnership between the Zakat Bureau and the university, expressing appreciation for the continuous support provided in the areas of student assistance and other university-related programs. She noted that this financial aid covers approximately 35% of the total special fees for over 800 students.
The Secretary of the Zakat Bureau in the state emphasized the ongoing support for the university, focusing on the partnership's benefits in scientific planning and program implementation. He highlighted ongoing and future projects aimed at benefiting targeted segments, indicating that more initiatives would be carried out.
Dr. Kamal Muhammad Mahmoud, the Director of Banking Planning at the Zakat Bureau, praised the collaborative efforts between Zakat and educational institutions, describing the partnership as a model to be replicated across other states in the country.
Professor Maher Al-Amin Mukhtar, the Director of Banks in the state, described the financial support as part of the continuing aid provided by Zakat for student welfare, underscoring the extent of the collaboration between Zakat and Al-Qadarif University.
