Khartoum: Minister of Cabinet Affairs Dr. Lamia Abdel-Ghafar Saturday chaired a meeting dedicated to preparing the Hope Government’s Plan for 2026.

According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting reviewed the principal priorities on which the plan is based, comprising six core areas. The discussions also covered reconstruction efforts and the acceleration of work to improve security and service conditions in the states affected by the war, as well as revitalizing all productive sectors to enhance economic indicators at both the national and state levels.

The meeting underscored the importance of implementing the 2026 plan’s projects as the foundational starting point for the 2030 Five-Year Plan, with an e
mphasis on initiatives linked to essential public services that directly affect citizens – particularly economic issues – alongside voluntary return programs, reconstruction, and the development of the education, health, and environmental sectors.
