Khartoum: Wali of Khartoum State Ahmed Osman Hamza praised the success of the security cell in Khartoum Locality for seizing a number of devices used as a complete currency-printing setup, along with its accessories and advanced imaging machines, inside a house in Al-Maamoura neighborhood of Khartoum.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Wali, accompanied by Executive Director of Khartoum Locality Abdelmoneim Al-Bashir, was conducting an inspection tour of cleaning operations on Sixty Street in Khartoum Locality. The works included sweeping, dust removal, and curb painting as part of efforts to prepare major roads, in addition to removing various violations along the roadside, such as wrecked vehicle frames, construction debris, and waste from houses, shops, and public facilities. These efforts come in preparation for establishing discounted-sales markets aimed at easing the burden on citizens, in line with the state government and the Higher Committee for Environmental Rehabilitation’s plan to pave the way for the return of residents to Khartoum State.
During the tour, the Wali and his accompanying delegation also inspected several violations inside Al-Rayyan Block in Al-Gireif West, which residents had complained about, particularly the production and sale of homemade alcohol by some foreign nationals. The Wali directed that immediate action be taken to address the issue.
