Vienna: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Mudawi Musa, met with Ms. Aarti Holla-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA). The Minister expressed Sudan’s gratitude for the office’s support in the past period and voiced Sudan’s aspiration for continued assistance, particularly in the reconstruction of the Remote Sensing and Seismology Authority and the Space and Aviation Research Institute of the National Research Council, as well as in the rehabilitation of their human resources.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the 69th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. Ms. Holla-Maini affirmed the office’s readiness to support reconstruction efforts through its two regional centers in Morocco and Nigeria. She emphasized linking Sudanese national institutions with their counterparts in advanced countries and providing scholarships and training opportunities for Sudanese exp
erts and researchers.
