Khartoum: Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Malik Agar, engaged in discussions with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Musa Kulaklikaya during his visit for the ninth session of the Joint Political Committee, a mechanism that unites the foreign ministries of the two nations.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Turkish official extended an invitation to TSC President General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The discussions focused on humanitarian issues, with Agar expressing gratitude to the Turkish government and its citizens for their support to those affected by the conflict instigated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He emphasized the need to enhance investment in the agricultural sector, highlighting Sudan's significant potential in this area.
The meeting also evaluated ongoing initiatives, with Agar lauding Trkiye's firm stance in favor of Sudan's unity and stability. The Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Sudan's issues could not be addressed without the inclusion of its government, reaffirming Ankara's commitment to ensuring Sudan's participation in any forum concerning the Sudanese situation and reiterating solidarity with the Sudanese populace and administration.
Additionally, economic issues and strategies to bolster bilateral cooperation were discussed. The Turkish representative welcomed the return of the government to Khartoum and expressed readiness to support reconstruction efforts through specialized projects and companies.
