Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has received an oral message from the President of the Republic of Gambia, Adama Barrow, focused on strengthening and developing bilateral relations between the two nations.
According to Sudan News Agency, the message was conveyed during a meeting held at General Al-Burhan's office with Othman Sow, the Director of the Gambian National Intelligence Agency. The meeting was also attended by General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, the Director of the General Intelligence Service. President Barrow expressed Gambia's support for peace initiatives in Sudan and extended his wishes for continued security and stability for the Sudanese people.
The discussions during the meeting touched upon the current state of Sudan-Gambia relations and explored joint efforts between the two countries' security agencies. The collaboration aims to combat terrorism and address the challenges posed by mercenaries, which have significant implications for regional stability.
Additionally, both parties discussed strategic coordination to enhance their interests in regional and international forums, emphasizing the importance of mutual support and cooperation on shared security concerns.
