Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces today offered condolences to the families of the victims of a tragic boat sinking incident in the Deim Al-Garai and Taybat Al-Khawad area of River Nile State, where more than 21 passengers were on board.
According to Sudan News Agency, he expressed full solidarity and sympathy with the victims' families in what he described as a loss that has pained all Sudanese people, saying the incident was Allah's Will and Destiny. He affirmed the government's commitment to addressing all challenges facing the area and its residents.
He stated that such tragedies must not be repeated, acknowledging human errors that will be addressed, and pledged to provide necessary facilitation, agricultural production inputs, and essential services for citizens. He also commended the sacrifices of the Sudanese people and highlighted the national cohesion demonstrated in Al-Garai and Taybat Al-Khawad, stressing that national unity is the country's safety valve and the cornerstone of victory, sustainable development, and stability.
