Khartoum: The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held a meeting with the Director of the National Intelligence Service of the Republic of South Sudan, General Akec Tong Aleu. The meeting took place in the presence of General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, the Director of the General Intelligence Service.
According to Sudan News Agency, the discussions focused on reviewing the bilateral relations between Sudan and South Sudan. Both parties explored ways to strengthen and develop these ties across various sectors, aiming to serve the mutual interests of the two nations.
The dialogue also centered on enhancing joint security cooperation and coordinating efforts to secure their shared border. This collaboration is intended to address current security challenges and to achieve sustainable stability for the populations of both countries.
During the meeting, General Akec Tong Aleu brought greetings from South Sudan's President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, to TSC President Al-Burhan. He expressed his wishes for the good health of the TSC President and for Sudan's continued security, stability, and development.
