Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Eng. Ibrahim Jabir, affirmed that the Armed Forces and supporting units are advancing steadily on all fronts in crushing the rebellion, stating that the militia is in continuous retreat and that full victory will be declared soon. Addressing the closing ceremony of the 16th 'Made in Sudan' Exhibition at the Burri Fairgrounds, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade Mahasin Ali Yagoub and Khartoum State Wali Ahmed Othman Hamza, Jabir said Sudan is poised for a comprehensive industrial revival across multiple sectors.
According to Sudan News Agency, Jabir announced the State's support for upgrading and developing national industry as a key economic pillar that contributes to reducing demand for foreign currency, creating employment opportunities for youth, and producing competitive Sudanese goods for global markets. He commended Giad Automotive Industry Group for moving toward launching a new production line for electric and clean-energy vehicles, aimed at reducing reliance on fuel.
He also called on companies and the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation to establish an effective partnership with the National Cooperative Corporation to ensure the continued operation of discounted sales centers in neighborhoods and districts after the exhibition concludes, in order to ease living costs for citizens. Jabir praised the organizing committee and the participation of more than 137 factories and companies despite current challenges, expressing appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the government and the industrial sector to drive production and restore industrial, commercial, and cultural activity in Khartoum State.
For her part, Minister of Industry and Trade Mahasin Yagoub stated that the Ministry organizes the exhibition annually at the beginning of Ramadan to alleviate living burdens through discounted sales and to showcase advancements in local industry. She underscored that the event reflects the efforts of the Higher Committee tasked with preparing the environment for the return to Khartoum State and restoring essential services to revive the industrial sector.
Meanwhile, Head of the Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation, Muawiya Al-Berair, revealed that electricity will be restored to all industrial zones to resume activity. He estimated losses inflicted on the industrial sector at approximately $50 billion due to systematic destruction by the militia. He stressed that the exhibition's conclusion demonstrates the resilience of Sudanese industry and manufacturers' determination to rebuild factories stronger than before-not merely for profit, but for national reconstruction-affirming the Federation's coordination with State institutions to protect national products.
