Khartoum: Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Abdullah Yahya affirmed the central government's support for Central Darfur State, enabling it to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing the state government.

According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting at his office on Thursday with the Wali (Governor) of Central Darfur, State Mustafa Tambour, TSC Member Yahya reviewed the state government's performance over the past period, the arrangements for the Sudanese Certificate examinations in April, and the challenges confronting the state.

Wali Mustafa Tambour told the press that the meeting addressed the state's security situation, violations committed against civilians, preparations for the state government's return to its headquarters, and ways to alleviate the suffering and blockade on citizens who have borne the cost of the war since the April 2023 rebellion by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
