He communicated this message through his Truth Social platform, highlighting ongoing discussions regarding the plan’s specifics. Trump stated that the initiative aims to achieve longstanding peace in the Middle East, extending beyond the current situation in Gaza.
United Nations Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres expressed gratitude towards Qatar and Egypt for their crucial mediation efforts alongside the United States. Concurrently, Egypt acknowledged President Trump’s dedication to fostering peace and stability in the region, commending his commitment to resolving the Gaza conflict.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry praised Hamas for responding positively to President Trump’s plan, signaling a potential de-escalation in the region. Hamas has agreed to release all Israeli captives, both living and deceased, in accordance with the exchange framework proposed by Trump. The organization also expressed its readiness to enter into mediated negotiations to finalize the plan’s details.
