Three Palestinians Killed in Israeli Strike on Khan Younis, Medics Say

Khan younis: Three Palestinians have been killed and three others wounded in an Israeli air strike on the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, according to Palestinian officials.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian news agency (Wafa) reported that an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis, resulting in three fatalities and injuries to three others. Among the wounded, one individual is in critical condition.

The strike is part of the ongoing Israeli military campaign in the Gaza Strip, which commenced on October 7, 2023. Palestinian authorities report significant casualties, with tens of thousands of deaths and injuries, many individuals missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced from their homes.

This offensive has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the enclave, leading to widespread infrastructure destruction and severe shortages of essential resources, including food and medical supplies. Many areas are facing warnings of potential famine.

International organisations continue to urge for enhanced protection of civilians and greater access for humanitarian aid to alleviate the dire conditions affecting the population.
