Khartoum: The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces announced that its troops, in collaboration with joint forces, continued operations over various fronts in the past 24 hours, successfully repelling attacks by the Al-Dagalo militia and allied mercenaries while causing significant losses in personnel and equipment.
According to Sudan News Agency, the army reported that militia forces launched a large-scale attack on its positions in Al-Tina, Darfur, but were repelled. The troops pursued the attackers, resulting in the destruction of 35 combat vehicles and the seizure of 49 others, along with the elimination of numerous enemy fighters.
The army further detailed that its forces thwarted an attack in Al-Dalang, South Kordofan, following intense combat. During this engagement, five combat vehicles were destroyed, and four others were captured, in addition to several motorcycles and communications equipment.
Additionally, heavy fighting occurred against militia elements in Bara, North Kordofan. The forces eventually redeployed outside the city after inflicting substantial losses on the opposing forces, based on strategic field assessments.
A statement also noted that ground-based air defenses successfully shot down a hostile strategic drone over El-Obeid earlier in the day.
The armed forces emphasized that operations would persist with determination until the militia and its allies are neutralized, with the ultimate goal of restoring security and stability throughout the country.
