Khartoum: President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, delivered an address to the Sudanese people, extending his greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. His Excellency also paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Armed Forces, their supporting units, and those mobilized in the Battle of Dignity, recognizing their dedication in defending the homeland and their tireless efforts to purge the country of the stain of rebellion. According to Sudan News Agency, in the opening of his speech, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan expressed his admiration for the Sudanese people, whom he described as "true bearers of civilization and the emblem of glory." He acknowledged their steadfastness against adversities and highlighted their commitment to the liberation and reconstruction of the homeland. Addressing the Armed Forces and supporting units, Al-Burhan praised their valor and dedication in overcoming challenges and threats to the natio n's security. He emphasized the importance of their role in cleansing the country from rebellion and underscored their courage and heroism as a significant part of Sudanese history. He further acknowledged the heavy toll of war borne by these forces and reiterated the state leadership's commitment to engaging with peace initiatives that align with security needs. Al-Burhan expressed hope that peace mediators would support initiatives aimed at dismantling rebel militias and securing a peaceful future for Sudan. Al-Burhan made it clear that any peace process must ensure the withdrawal and assembly of militias and be comprehensive, with a clear timeline aimed at achieving lasting peace. He reiterated the commitment to purging Sudan of terrorist militias and collaborating with the people to build state institutions and ensure a peaceful transfer of power. He expressed gratitude to countries supporting Sudan and condemned aggressions faced by countries in the Gulf, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. Al -Burhan concluded by honoring the efforts of the Sudanese people and Armed Forces in restoring life to areas affected by rebellion and expressed confidence in achieving final victory.
