Kosti: Deputy Governor of the Darfur Region, Wali of Central Darfur State and Head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Mustafa Nasr-Eddin Tambour, has denounced the international community’s silence regarding the crimes committed by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia against citizens in El-Fashir. He called upon the international community to fully assume its responsibilities and take firm actions regarding the violations and crimes of the rebel RSF militia against the defenseless people of Darfur, including using starvation as a weapon and the killing of women and children.
According to Sudan News Agency, Tambour made these remarks while addressing the events of his movement’s extraordinary revitalization conference in Kosti on Saturday. The conference adopted the movement’s statute and political project under the slogan “We are free in our decision,” with attendance from several movement leaders. Tambour condemned the incident of 75 worshippers being killed inside a mosque in El-Fashir by a strategic drone during dawn (Fajr) prayer, describing the event as a full-fledged crime punishable under international laws.
The Deputy Governor of the Darfur Region added that the international community’s silence has encouraged the rebel militia to continue its crimes in broad daylight, in full view and earshot of all regional circles. Tambour stated that the War of Dignity being waged by the Armed Forces and their supporting forces is a war between right and wrong, expressing confidence that right will prevail.
Tambour pledged to soon restore the rights lost due to the practices of the rebel militia to their rightful owners. He reaffirmed his absolute commitment to moving forward under the leadership of the Sudanese Armed Forces to defeat the rebellion, break the siege on El-Fashir, liberate the Darfur region, and purge it from the filth of the rebel militia. Tambour announced that the matter of liberating the Darfur region is imminent, with combat units ready to carry out this task.
In his concluding remarks, Tambour sent a message to the citizens of the Darfur Region, affirming that the Armed Forces and their supporting forces have completed preparations to liberate the region. He urged them to disregard rumors spread by the mouthpieces of the militia and media rooms from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Chad, and their calls for secession. Tambour emphasized that the Armed Forces will not concede the Darfur Region and have prepared themselves to reclaim every inch tarnished by the rebel militia, protect the citizens, and put an end to the practices of the rebel militia against them.
