Ankara: Sudan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey, Ambassador Nader Yousif Al-Tayeb, welcomed Dr. Yasin Oqtay, a former advisor to the President of Turkey and a prominent political scholar, at his office. The meeting focused on the current situation in Sudan, highlighting the country’s challenges and the government’s response efforts.
According to Sudan News Agency, Ambassador Al-Tayeb provided a comprehensive briefing on the grave violations committed by rebel militia in Sudan and the government’s initiatives to restore security and stability. He emphasized Sudan’s efforts to inform international public opinion about the external interventions exacerbating the crisis. The ambassador also outlined the war’s impact on infrastructure and essential services and the government’s actions to mitigate the humanitarian consequences. He expressed Sudan’s appreciation for Turkey’s supportive stance on the country’s unity and stability.
Dr. Yasin Oqtay, on his part, expressed his keen interest in Sudanese affairs, mentioning that he regularly follows and analyzes developments in Sudan. He referred to his recent article titled ‘Gaza and El-Fashir. Emirati-Israeli Collusion,’ where he explored interconnected external agendas and the role of foreign actors in Sudan’s challenges, particularly in El-Fashir. Oqtay voiced his support for Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, committing to continue raising awareness through his writings and intellectual platforms.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement on the importance of ongoing intellectual and media engagement to support Sudan during this critical period.
