Kadugli: The Sudanese Armed Forces said in a statement today that, continuing its criminal approach, the terrorist Al-Dagalo militia targeted the United Nations headquarters and the Bangladeshi battalion in Kadugli, South Kordofan, with a strategic drone, launching three missiles. The treacherous attack resulted in the burning of a UN warehouse, the death of six personnel, and injuries to seven others, all from the Bangladeshi battalion.
According to Sudan News Agency, the statement added that this criminal act constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and UN resolutions that protect peacekeeping forces and UN facilities, clearly exposing the destructive agenda of the rebel militia and those backing it.
The Armed Forces reaffirmed their full commitment to the principles of international humanitarian law and respect for the sanctity of UN premises and international facilities. The statement also called on the international community and human rights organizations to assume their moral responsibilities regarding the ongoing violations on the ground.
