Moscow: The Sudanese-Russian Joint Ministerial Committee on Trade and Economy is set to convene in Moscow next Tuesday. The meeting will be chaired by Sudan’s Minister of Minerals, Mr. Nour-Eldaim Mohamed Taha, and Russia’s Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Alexander Kozlov. The gathering will include representatives from both the public and private sectors of the two countries.
According to Sudan News Agency, the technical meetings of the committee will begin on Monday, led by Dr. Hind Siddig, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals. The meetings will see the participation of Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, alongside representatives of economic and service institutions, as well as the Russian technical committee.
Sudan’s Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Al-Ghazali Siraj, emphasized that this is the first joint committee meeting for Sudan since the outbreak of war in April 2023. He noted that it reflects the depth of bilateral relations and the mutual desire to strengthen economic and trade cooperation, contributing to Sudan’s early reconstruction efforts.
