Kadugli: The Government of the Republic of Sudan condemned the aerial attack carried out by the rebel terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia using a drone, which targeted the United Nations premises in the city of Kadugli, describing it as a serious breach of the protections afforded to UN facilities and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
According to Sudan News Agency, the government stated that the targeting of a protected UN installation constituted a dangerous escalation and a criminal act amounting to an organised terrorist operation. This action reflects a deliberate disregard for international law and poses a direct threat to the work of humanitarian and international missions.
The Government of Sudan held the terrorist RSF militia fully responsible for the attack and called on the United Nations and the international community to adopt firm positions and deterrent measures. They urged for actions to ensure the protection of UN facilities and humanitarian personnel and to hold the perpetrators accountable in accordance with international law.
