Sennar: Wali of Sennar State, Major General (Ret.) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayid, engaged in discussions with the Director General of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Dr. Ghaleb Yilmaz, about expanding cooperation and implementing development and service projects in the state.
According to Sudan News Agency, Dr. Ghaleb Yilmaz provided an overview of TIKA's global operations, highlighting that the agency manages 63 offices worldwide and operates in over 200 countries. He announced that the Sudan office has resumed full operations, initiating 20 new projects aimed at boosting development.
The planned interventions in Sennar State include the development of fisheries, offering technical and logistical support for fishing projects, and launching food security initiatives. Additionally, there are plans to distribute improved seeds to farmers and provide advanced training opportunities across various sectors.
Major General Al-Sayid expressed his gratitude to Turkey's leadership, government, and people, commending Ankara's supportive role toward Sudan during the current crisis. He assured the commitment of the state government to eliminate obstacles to ensure the effective implementation of these projects.
