Security and Defense Council Reviews Regional Conflict and Security Measures

Khartoum: The Security and Defense Council held its regular meeting in Khartoum today under the chairmanship of President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, with the full attendance of its members. The meeting focused on the review of developments in the ongoing war involving the United States, Israel, and the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside the subsequent attacks affecting sister states in the Arabian Gulf.

According to Sudan News Agency, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabroun addressed the press, stating that the Council had reassured itself regarding the country's security situation. He emphasized Sudan's call to the international community, specifically urging the United Nations Security Council, to take responsibility in maintaining international peace and security. The Minister highlighted the importance of dialogue as the primary means to bring the conflict to an end.

Additionally, the Council paid tribute to the nation's martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and honor of the Sudanese people and expressed wishes for a swift recovery to those wounded and injured in the conflict.
