Khartoum: The Red Sea State hosted the second Media Professionals’ Forum for Education organized by the Sudanese Coalition for Education for All (SCEFA) with various partners, including the Ministry of Education and UNICEF.
According to Sudan News Agency, the forum took place at the Wazza Cultural Center in Port Sudan, focusing on the theme “Return to Education.” It attracted leaders from the media, education, social development, and arts sectors. Discussions centered on recent educational initiatives and the importance of education in community development.
Dr. Naji Mansour Al-Shafie, Secretary-General of CSET, highlighted the coalition’s new initiatives, such as opening 15 education centers and establishing a primary school for internally displaced persons. Mr. Ahmed Tahir emphasized the critical role of education in fostering community development.
Ms. Ilham Idris spoke about the challenges facing the education sector while commending CSET’s efforts. Media professional Mr. Mohamed Shenidi underscored the need for educational programs to align with sustainable development goals.
The forum also focused on the significance of technical education and formed a committee to support the maintenance of schools affected by displacement.
