Khartoum bahri: Minister of Interior Lt. Gen. (Police) Babiker Samra Mustafa Ali has commended the efforts and sacrifices of the Special Forces Unit of the General Directorate of the Security Police during the Battle of Dignity. His Excellency praised the competence and professionalism of the Special Forces, which have been specially prepared for such challenges and difficulties for a long time.
According to Sudan News Agency, this commendation came during the Minister’s inspection visit to the forces’ headquarters in Khartoum Bahri. He was accompanied by Lt. Gen. (Police) Mohamed Ibrahim Awadallah, Deputy Director General and Inspector General, Lt. Gen. (Police) Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Shamin, Head of the Administrative Affairs Authority and Supervisor of Khartoum State, and Maj. Gen. (Police) Al-Tahir Ali Mohamed Al-Baloula, Head of the Guidance and Services Authority.
Maj. Gen. (Police) Sufian Abdel-Wahab Hamad, Director of the General Directorate of Security Police, welcomed the Minister of Interior’s visit.
He discussed the roles played by the Special Forces Unit in deploying and securing Khartoum State, including night patrols, securing bridges and overpasses, and supporting the Khartoum State Police, in addition to its participation in combat operations.
The police press office indicates that the Minister of Interior directed the Special Forces to continue implementing deployment and security plans and supporting the Khartoum State Police in their missions. The Minister of Interior also inspected the force working to secure the bridges.
