Qatar National Bank Releases New Deposit Rates for Multiple Currencies

Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced the latest deposit rates for various currencies, effective as of Thursday. The rates cover a range of international and regional currencies, including the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), British Pound Sterling (GBP), Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD), across different maturity periods.

According to Qatar News Agency, the new rates show varied interest levels depending on the currency and the maturity period. For the USD, the rates start at 3.61264% for a one-month deposit and rise to 3.84898% for a twelve-month deposit. The JPY rates remain stable at 0.70000% for both one-month and two-month deposits but increase slightly for longer durations. The CHF rates start with a negative interest for one-month deposits at -0.13000% but turn positive at 0.15000% for twelve-month deposits. GBP deposit rates begin at 3.65000% for one month and reach 4.50000% for a twelve-month period.

The QAR deposit rates begin at 4.01120% for one month and increase to 4.15000% for twelve months. The SAR rates show a decrease from 4.50000% for one-month deposits to 4.30000% for longer periods. AED deposit rates start at 2.05000% for one month and climb to 3.15000% for a twelve-month deposit. Lastly, BHD rates remain constant at 5.00000% for deposits up to six months but decrease to 4.50000% for twelve months.
