Khartoum: Prime Minister Kamil Idris reaffirmed his support for the programs and activities of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO), praising its vital role in protecting and supporting the national economy.
According to Sudan News Agency, during a meeting with SSMO Director-General Rahba Saeed Abdullah, Prime Minister Idris was briefed on recent achievements and upcoming initiatives. These include the opening and equipping of the Organization's branch at the Ashkeit border crossing in Old Halfa, which aims to facilitate trade with Egypt.
The meeting also covered arrangements for the SSMO leadership to resume operations from the capital, Khartoum.
