Munich: Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris arrived in Munich today, Thursday, leading Sudan’s delegation to the 62nd Munich Security Conference, which is scheduled from 13 to 15 February. He was greeted at the airport by Sudan’s Ambassador to Germany, Elham Ibrahim Mohamed Ahmed, along with members of the diplomatic mission.
According to Sudan News Agency, the Prime Minister is expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with heads of other delegations. Additionally, he will serve as a keynote speaker in a panel discussion focusing on Sudan’s current situation. The Prime Minister’s engagement at the conference aligns with the government’s ongoing efforts to present its peace initiative, which follows recent achievements by the armed forces.
The peace initiative being presented aims to bolster security and stability in Sudan. This initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy as it continues its operations from Khartoum, which has been experiencing a rapid and significant return of citizens.
