Khartoum: Prime Minister Kamil Idris met today with the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Moroccan Ambassador to Sudan Mohamed MaS El-Ainin, at his office in Khartoum.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Prime Minister's advisors, Nizar Abdullah Mohammed and Ambassador Badr Eddin Al-Jie'ai'fri, alongside the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Maawia Othman Khalid. Discussions focused on the Sudanese issue, emphasizing the growing recognition it is receiving in international forums. The meeting also addressed ongoing efforts to rebuild the capital, Khartoum, and initiatives to facilitate the return of Sudanese citizens from abroad, a process that has already commenced.
Ambassador MaS El-Ainin shared with the press that the discussions included strengthening bilateral relations between Sudan and Morocco at both official and popular levels. He emphasized the historical ties between Khartoum and Rabat, which span centuries, and underscored the importance of re-establishing diplomatic missions in Khartoum. The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the return of the Government of Hope to the capital, lauding its activities and achievements in recent times.
