Prime Minister Directs Strict Enforcement of Merit Principle in Civil Service Recruitment

Khartoum: Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris ordered the strict enforcement of merit-based recruitment in the civil service, ensuring fairness and transparency in the competition for government positions.

According to Sudan News Agency, this directive was issued during Dr. Idris's meeting with Mua'tasim Hajo Al-Obeid, Secretary-General of the Civil Service Recruitment Commission, attended by Dr. Al-Sadiq Jamal Al-Din, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation.

The Secretary-General briefed the Prime Minister on the Commission's activities over the recent period, emphasizing that the Prime Minister instructed the Commission to resume its operations from its headquarters in Khartoum.

Mua'tasim Hajo also reported that he presented a detailed account of the Commission's execution of the National Government Employment Platform project during the meeting. This initiative aligns with the 'Hope Government' directives, which aim to enhance digital transformation across all state institutions.

He highlighted that all employment-related processes, from applications and examinations to interviews, are now conducted electronically through the platform. This contributes to heightened institutional efficiency and supports the administrative reform directives adopted by the Government of Hope.
