Prime Minister Calls for Sudanese Diaspora to Return as Rehabilitation Efforts Progress

Khartoum: Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris commended the large-scale mobilization and the entities that contributed to rehabilitating Al-Saha Al-Khadra (Green Square), which had suffered deliberate destruction, like other public facilities, by the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He underscored the importance of the square as a vital public space and recreational outlet frequently visited by families, as well as a venue for social, cultural, and sporting activities.

According to Sudan News Agency, the remarks came during an inspection visit on Saturday evening to the Green Square in Khartoum, accompanied by the Wali of Khartoum State, Ahmed Othman Hamza. The Prime Minister directed that rehabilitation works continue, particularly the upgrading of the running track and the indoor sports hall.

He renewed his call for Sudanese citizens living abroad to return voluntarily to the national capital, Khartoum, affirming that 'Khartoum is safe and stable.'
