Prime Minister Briefed on International Litigation Committee Targeting Rebel Militia and Its Supporters

Khartoum: Prime Minister Prof. Kamil Idris has been briefed on the work of the International Litigation Committee mandated to pursue legal action against the rebel terrorist militia and its accomplices and supporters, as well as on proposed new litigation pathways before the International Court of Justice and other competent international tribunals.

According to Sudan News Agency, this came during a meeting held Tuesday in Khartoum with Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohamed Dirif. Dr. Dirif stated in a press remark that he submitted to the Prime Minister the draft prepared by the committee tasked with reviewing land-related legislation and mapping associated disputes, with the aim of facilitating and attracting investment.

The Minister noted that the meeting also reviewed the outcomes of his recent visits to Al-Gezira and Al-Gadarif states, conducted as part of efforts to strengthen the rule of law and inaugurate new premises for the legal administration in Al-Gadarif State.

Dr. Dirif further said he briefed the Prime Minister on the work of the Anti-Illegal Collection Committee, including the results of its field visits to eastern and northern states, the violations identified, and the measures taken to curb unlawful revenue collection. He added that the committee will continue its field inspections across the states in the coming period.
