Khartoum: Prime Minister Prof. Kamil Idris engaged in a significant discussion on development and public service issues in Al-Gezira State and the Central Region. This meeting was held with a delegation from the Sudan Shield Forces Support Committee and was attended by Maj. Gen. Abu Agla Kaykal, the commander of the Sudan Shield Forces, along with several government officials.
According to Sudan News Agency, the meeting focused on addressing the challenges faced by agricultural projects, notably the issues concerning financing for farmers and the availability of agricultural inputs. There was also a proposal to establish a reconstruction fund for areas affected by conflict. This includes plans to rehabilitate roads that connect production areas to markets and improve the education sector by appointing more teachers.
The commander of the Sudan Shield Forces confirmed that military operations would persist. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister committed to prioritizing reconstruction and development in war-impacted areas. He emphasized the establishment of a dedicated mechanism to ensure the swift implementation of these vital projects.
